Sorefinger Road Salome, Ariz.

Sorefinger Road is named for the Sore Fingers Mountain a mountain summit west of Buckeye-Salome Road. Sore Fingers Mountain stands 1,873 feet above sea level. With a summit of only 300 feet above the desert floor, it still stands out. Being a mountain summit means it is standing alone but still has two peeks. Sorefinger Road was used on March 31 2007 for 2-wheel drive car racing. Desert Storm Rally an annual event is a timed race with several sages. Sorefinger Road was one of the stages that year. Sorefinger Road will be remembered by the drivers for another sore part for the 18 jumps in the last two and a half miles of the course.

Desert Chicory flowers are well know for there use in teas and coffee. Their roots were also used in a tea to treat colds and fever.
Stunted daisy only needs to look nice.
Desert Pincushion is a common desert flower but not on sorefinger road.
Prickly poppy with bug. All parts of this plant contain alkaloids that are poisonous.
Beavertail Cactus a species of Prickly Pear Cactus. The rose purple flowers are a treat.

There are a few critters also to be seen. These cows are with their calf's.
Loading chutes are how the ranchers got the cattle on the trucks. This one is retired.

Well! There is water in the desert and all the way from Lake Havasu on the Colorado River.
